Metasequoia glyptostroboides (Dawn Redwood)

Metasequoia glyptostroboides or the Dawn Redwood as it is more commonly known, enjoying the evening sunshine in Co. Cork.

These amazing trees are fast growing and can meet their full height of 12 meters within 50 years.

Although a conifer, this is deciduous and will loose its leaves in late autumn.

This is a really great tree where you have plenty of space and would like the height.

This tree prefers moist but well drained soil and sunlight.
